Whether you call it self-injury, self-harm, or non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI), nearly half of all teens will engage in cutting or other self-injurious behavior at some point. One in four teens has seriously considered suicide and self-harm is a parasuicidal behavior. Therapists working with this population need to feel confident assessing risk, developing safety plans, and planning treatment for these youth. This course will build your clinical toolkit for working with these at-risk teens.

Amy Mezulis, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist who received her BA from Harvard University and her MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology from University of Wisconsin – Madison. Dr. Mezulis provides services to older children, adolescents and adults utilizing an evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral approach that includes mindfulness and acceptance-based treatments.
